João’s Journeys is a registered trademark owned by João Virata Alves.
João’s Journeys is a tourist entertainment company registered with RNAAT: 591/2021 at Turismo de Portugal, holding legally required insurance in accordance with Portuguese law for operating activities.

Reservations
Reservations can be made via email at hello@joaosjourneys.com, through the website www.joaosjourneys.com by filling out the booking form, or by phone at +351924004283.
Reservation requests are subject to availability, acceptance of the terms and conditions, and are only valid after proof of full payment.
Number of Passengers
João’s Journeys offers tours and activities with vehicles of varying capacities according to customer needs. There is no required minimum number of passengers onboard. Each tuktuk can hold a maximum of six (6) passengers.
However, exceptions may apply, and specific passenger limitations will be stated on the online tour pages at www.joaosjourneys.com. Some tours may require a minimum or maximum number of participants.
Age of Passengers
All passengers must be a minimum of 2 years old. Babies younger than 2 years old will not be accepted on board our tuktuks.
Prices and Payment Conditions
The prices displayed on www.joaosjourneys.com include VAT and are listed in Euros (€).
Accepted payment methods: online payment through the website, cash (Euros / official currency) or bank transfers.
For reservations, a deposit of 50% of the total price is required, with the remaining amount payable on the activity date. Reservations are only confirmed after proof of payment or verification of deposit.
Availability, Confirmation & Cancellation
João’s Journeys processes reservations only after confirming payment and cannot guarantee availability until processing begins.
All reservations made on the website www.joaosjourneys.com are subject to availability, and João’s Journeys reserves the right to decline or cancel reservations, even after confirmation, if they cannot be fulfilled.
If a tour or activity becomes unavailable, João’s Journeys will promptly notify the customer of the cancellation, and any paid amount will be refunded according to the established terms and conditions.
Confirmation & Cancellations
João’s Journeys may reject reservations that do not have verified payment, are incomplete or incorrect, or if the selected tour or activity is unavailable.
In any of these cases, João’s Journeys will inform the customer via email that the reservation was not processed and explain the reasons.
João’s Journeys reserves the right to refuse any booking for any reason, without liability for damages or costs incurred. Similarly, we reserve the right to cancel any tour or activity, even after confirmation, under the following conditions:
Incorrect or unverifiable invoice details;
Reservations flagged by the website’s security system as irregular or fraudulent;
Errors in price presentation of the tour(s) or activity(ies);
If deemed that the customer does not possess the required capacity to undertake the activity.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be notified via email at hello@joaosjourneys.com.
Cancellation fees apply as follows:
Up to 7 days before the reservation date: Full refund except processing fees.
From 6 days before the reservation date: 50% cancellation fee; remaining amount, if any, refunded.
Commercial Campaigns & Promotions
All commercial campaigns, offers, or promotions are valid only while displayed on www.joaosjourneys.com, except if explicitly stated otherwise.
In case of cancellation within a promotional campaign, the amount paid is refunded or credited.
Liability
João’s Journeys operates under a code of professional ethics and in compliance with general principles of law.
However, we are not responsible for delays due to weather conditions, traffic, terrorism, strikes, or any external factors beyond our control. Additionally, we are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings transported by customers during tours or activities.
We reserve the right to refuse access to individuals onboard who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs or whose behavior poses a safety risk or potential damage to our vehicles.
Complaints
If you wish to file a complaint, you can do so via email at hello@joaosjourneys.com. Additionally, we provide a physical complaints book and an electronic complaints book, accessible via www.joaosjourneys.com.
Data Protection
Personal information provided by customers will be used solely for booking purposes, ensuring its secure collection and processing.
João’s Journeys will only use personal data for internal commercial purposes when explicitly authorized by the customer, in compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), effective since May 2018.
Any images or recordings taken by João’s Journeys or its customers for commercial purposes must have consent from all involved parties. By accepting that images or videos are taken or recorded during the tours, the client automatically grants consent for these images or videos to be used for commercial purposes.
Customers have the right to access, rectify, cancel, or object to their personal data. Requests can be made by contacting hello@joaosjourneys.com.
